The team leader qualification is suitable for anyone who is in a first line management role, with responsibilities for operational matters, a given project or for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome.

The 12-month programme includes topics such as Managing People, Building Relationships and Operational Management. It consists of both practical and theory-based learning, with apprentices spending the vast majority of their time learning on the job, complimented by virtual training which means they never need to leave the service centre.

On successful completion, there is an option to register as Associate members with the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).
